Brownells is an excellent choice for firearm accessories and specific tools. It’s also one of our favorite online gun stores for actual firearms. They have a vast selection of popular handguns and rifles in stock and ready to go, and prices are reasonable, with great deals to be found if you keep an eye out.
During these crazy times, Brownells has an in-stock guns section that’s helpful. I also buy most of my upgrade parts from them because they are such a big store, and I know I won’t get ripped off. If there’s anything wrong, they’ll take care of it.
- Palmetto State Armory: Low Prices
We saved one of our favorites for last! We love Palmetto State Armory’s AR-15s and other guns. But did you know that Palmetto State Armory now carries tons of popular handguns and rifles too? They get all the new guns right on time and have good deals on older stuff.
- Kentucky Gun Company: The Massive Online Gun Shop
Known as “Kygunco” on their website, Kentucky Gun Company has a ton of gun selection, with plenty of items in stock. Plus, they’re super competitive in pricing, especially when you use their “text a check” payment method, which saves you 3% compared to a credit card. Since many people have bought from them before and had the gun shipped to your receiving FFL, it’s likely already in their system.
- GrabAGun: Great In-Stock Selection
We’ve been impressed with GrabAGun recently since they always seem to have the guns we want in-stock when others don’t. They keep very popular guns in stock, like Sig Sauers and Glocks, and have a good selection of AK-47s.
- Gunbroker: Auction Route
If you’re looking for a screaming deal or something rarer, you’ll have to go the auction route. Gunbroker is the biggest auction site out there. Since it’s an auction, you’ll be dealing with individual sellers. We recommend going with a highly rated seller who has it all figured out. You’ll likely have to pay for shipping, and some sellers won’t accept credit cards or will charge 3%. Plus, you’ll have to send in your FFL information since it’s unlikely that the seller has sent a gun to your specific FFL.
- Armslist: Private Firearms Transfers
Armslist is a platform where individuals post their firearms for private transfers. Buyers and sellers message each other to meet up and complete the transaction. It’s worth noting that Armslist charges a $6.99 membership fee to join, which allows you to message sellers and post your own guns for sale. Sportsman’s Warehouse is another great place to buy guns online. They get new guns quickly, probably because they sell a lot, and have many popular guns in stock. While I’ve had some trouble with CA tax issues and my FFL in the past, I think it was a very specific set of circumstances.

Rainier Arms is the go-to online gun store if you want the highest-end tricked-out pistol, rifle, or shotgun, or NFA items like silencers and SBRs (short-barreled rifles). They have a stellar reputation in the business, and I’ve personally visited their shop and warehouse. They’ve got their system down and will take care of you.
- Rifle Gear: Local Favorite
If you’re in Southern California or Texas, you’ve probably stopped by Rifle Gear’s sweet store. But their online gun store also boasts some of the best selections of handguns and long guns I’ve seen. As an added bonus for California residents, they have an easy-to-use “CA Legal” search function to figure out which handguns are roster-friendly and which rifles are assault weapon compliant.
- Euro Optic: Precision Rifle Paradise
If you’re in the market for high-end scopes or rarer guns, especially in the precision rifle department, Euro Optic is the place to go. They have a great selection of Desert Tech and Accuracy International firearms. You can call in and ask questions, and someone knowledgeable will answer.
